Join Dr. Ariel Addy for an anatomical deep dive into the core and pelvic floor system. This interactive workshop is open to practitioners at all levels. It is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the deep core and pelvic floor, especially vinyasa practitioners who have given birth, had abdominal procedures, or experienced abdominal or pelvic injury or weakness.
In this workshop you will:
-
Learn the functional anatomy and foundation of the core and pelvic system.
-
Discuss the role of the deep core and pelvic floor in the most common Vinyasa yoga components, including breathwork and poses such as plank, chaturanga, squats, lunges, backbends, standing warriors, and balancing postures.
-
Demystify common signs of deep core and pelvic floor dysfunction and address them using yoga postures to engage and relax these areas.
-
Apply these lessons in a vinyasa flow that practices engaging, strengthening, relaxing, and stabilizing the deep core and pelvic floor to improve awareness, prevent injuries, and build the mind-body connection needed to sustain your yoga practice for years.
